(Bloomberg) -- Following are forecasts for today’s economic releases as compiled by Bloomberg News.
- ISM Manu 59.5; range 56.5 to 61 (75 estimates)
- ISM Prices 67.8; range 65 to 70 (8 estimates)
- "Expectations of a temporary hurricane-induced manufacturing slump have not surfaced in any of the associated data. In fact, it appears as if factory- related output escalated in the immediate aftermath of the storms amid greater demand for infrastructure-related goods”: Bloomberg Intelligence
- In September, the ISM factory index rose to 60.8, the strongest reading in 13 years
- Const. Spend -0.2% m/m; range -0.9% to 0.7% (44 estimates)
- The prior showed construction spending rose 0.5 percent in August, "implying no major storm impact. Such results could have been biased to the upside, as those directly affected may not have been interviewed”: Bloomberg Intelligence
