Brexit Poll Analysis Shows Remain Lead Has Halved, JPM Says
(Bloomberg) -- Analysis of the opinion polls on the June 23 referendum shows those supporting stay lead those backing Brexit by 4 percentage points, JPMorgan analyst Malcolm Barr writes in client note.
- On the basis of the “cleaned up data” avg level of support for remain is at 47.2%, for leave is 43.4%, with 8.1% of voters undecided
- Support for remain appears to have been broadly stable since late January, while support for leave has risen by around 2pts and the number of don’t knows has fallen by a similar amount; the lead for remain has halved since Feb but was stable in April
