(Bloomberg) -- Bayer is confident in its $122/shr offer for Monsanto, Bayer CEO Werner Baumann said in an interview with Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.

• Proposal is “very attractive”
• Bayer aware of Monsanto’s reputation, speaking to investors about it
• Bayer will continue its way of business, which may be different than Monsanto’s, after the acquisition
• No decision yet whether to keep the Monsanto name, the goal is to make use of Bayer’s “excellent reputation”
• Bayer will finance the deal with debt and equity, won’t need to sell assets
• Headquarters to remain in Leverkusen
