(Bloomberg) -- Moody’s to buy Bureau van Dijk, a global provider of business intelligence and company information, from the fund EQT VI for $3.27b.
  • Sees deal adding to EPS in 2018, excluding purchase price amortization and one-time integration costs, and adding to GAAP EPS in 2019
  • Will add $45m of annual revenue and expense synergies by 2019, and $80m by 2021
  • Boosts long term outlook for revenue and EPS growth
  • Moody’s will fund deal through combo of offshore cash and new debt financing
  • Bureau van Dijk had revenue $281m and Ebitda $144m in 2016
  • Will be reported as part of Moody’s Analytics’ Research, Data & Analytics (RD&A) unit, which accounted for ~18% of total company revenue in 2016, according to Bloomberg data
