(Bloomberg) -- EGBs across the board saw strong demand last week; core bonds saw the third-highest net buying in a year, concentrated in France and Germany, suggesting investors are looking to fade higher yields, Citigroup strategist Aman Bansal writes in client note.

• Citi flows suggest second-highest net buying of euro linkers in a year with demand concentrated in Italy and preference for the long-end
• Small net buying of gilts, concentrated in 10y and 30y+
• Linker gilts saw small overall net demand last week; net buying in the 30y sector was largely offset by net selling in the 10y and 30y+ sectors
