Macau Casinos Fall After Daiwa Note on Junket Liquidity Warning

(Bloomberg) -- Macau Casino operators listed in Hong Kong fall after Daiwa analyst Jamie Soo wrote in note that one of Macau’s largest junket operators warned clients of a "liquidity channel impairment" and advised them to withdraw money from affected bank accounts.
  • Junket operator’s memo highlighted increased enforcement of anti-money laundering initiatives in both China and Macau, Soo wrote, citing channel checks
  • Wynn Macau -4.7%, MGM China -3.4%, SJM Holdings -2.5%, Sands China -1.8%; Galaxy Entertainment falls 2%, paring year’s advance to 36%
  • Wynn Resorts fell 3.4% Friday in New York, Melco Resorts declined 2.1%, and Las Vegas Sands fell 1.8%
