(Bloomberg) -- Beige book based on anecdotal evidence collected by Fed’s 12 district banks; prior report said economy expanded across most of U.S. from late Nov. to early Jan.

• 2 district banks reported “moderate” growth; 7 reported “modest” growth; 1 “upbeat”; 2 “essentially flat”
• Federal funds futures indicate 51.8% chance Fed will raise rates by end of yr
• Fed’s next policy meeting March 15-16
