U.S. Should Sign Up to OECD Data Exchange, Swiss Bankers Say

(Bloomberg) -- The OECD shouldn’t allow the U.S. to operate outside automatic bank account data exchange regime, Swiss Bankers Association Chairman Herbert Scheidt says at conference in Geneva.
  • “The U.S. insists on a one-sided exchange,” and hasn’t signed up to the level of reciprocity implemented by other countries, Scheidt says
  • NOTE: U.S. not among 101 jurisdictions which have committed to exchange information on foreign-owned bank accounts automatically
