(Bloomberg) -- 10y yield will probably rise to 3%-3.5% range by year-end, says Ryan Caldwell, chief investment officer at Chiron Investment Management, which manages about $500m.
- “When we look at the rates and credit bull market, we think it’s clearly at its end,” Caldwell says. “We’re now starting to feel that volatility as rates start to normalize.”
- Chiron is short the belly of the curve in UST as well as 10y German, French, Italian notes
- “The Fed will drive real rates up, but I don’t think we get a flattening or steepening. The curve parallel-shifts upward a bit.”
