Western Union Completes Arizona Money Laundering Program

(Bloomberg) -- Western Union has successfully completed Arizona’s secondary recommendations aimed at combating money laundering along the southwest border.
  • NOTE: As part of a 2010 settlement agreement, Arizona appointed a monitor to evaluate WU’s compliance, review effectiveness of its risk-based anti-money laundering compliance program in the Southwest Border Area, and make recommendations to improve WU’s program
  • Court says WU has complied with all terms of settlement agreement
  • WU shares are up as much as 2.7% to the highest intraday in a month
