(Bloomberg) -- Consumer price index seen unchanged m/m in July after increasing 0.2% in June (forecast range -0.1% to +0.2%); index tracks prices in “market basket” of goods, services.
- Core CPI, which excludes cost of food and energy, seen rising 0.2% last month after increasing 0.2% prior month (forecast range +0.1% to +0.3%)

- Housing starts seen falling 0.9% in July to 1.180 annual rate (forecast range 1.108 to 1.2m); tracks number of new units started during reference period
